REPLACEMENT DWELLING

North Devon AONB

The design of a replacement dwelling located in a sensitive location in the North Devon AONB.  Whilst maximising the coastal views available in the design care was taken to use natural recessive materials, limit large areas of glazing to avoid light spill and glare and provide shading to windows to minimise reflectance and large solar gains. 

Working within the roofline of the existing house the design of the new dwelling also gave careful consideration to limiting over shadowing and avoiding loss of light to an adjacent house and garden.
