Umberleigh Barton Farm is a large farm & estate which dates back to the 9th Century and comprises an existing Grade I listed Farm House, a grade II listed barn and a number of ancillary barns. With a tourism accommodation use already present at the farm the new project provided a small scale expansion to the existing established business.
The unit of holiday accommodation was located on the site of a former open sided cart linhay and the design of the building references the former historic use of the site. The accommodation comprised a large open plan living, kitchen and dining room with large glazed sliding doors, 3 bedrooms including ensuite facilities and a separate main bathroom.
